Dry pastas in sauce-friendly shapes
Paccheri
Short, wide tube-shaped pasta hailing from the Campania region. Excellent with hearty meat sauces and great for making baked-pasta dishes.
Tagliatelle
This egg pasta comes in long, flat ribbons, similar to fettucine, but not quite as wide. Great with creamy sauces, which really cling to these noodles. Try it with our Hobbs Italian Sausage, brown butter and sage (pictured).
Pappardelle
Larger and wider than tagliatelle and fettucine, this egg pasta is a similar long, flat noodle. Pappardelle stands up well to heavy sauces; the gravy from a hearty serving of pot roast or braised beef with mushrooms is absorbed nicely by this type of pasta. Creamy seafood sauces pair just as well.
