Here are a few other great ideas for what to do with these little flavor-power-packed cans:
Indulge in Foie Gras
We stock both frozen uncooked foie gras lobes (in Grade A and Grade B) as well as fully cooked foie gras torchon. Add something special to your weekend dinner.
It can seem like an intimidating ingredient, but foie gras is easier to cook than you might think. Read this helpful Serious East post on foie gras basics and how to masterfully cook it at home.
If it still seems like too much to handle, you can still enjoy this decadent delight by ordering a foie gras torchon, fully cooked and ready to serve. Learn more about torchons from our vendor Hudson Valley Foie Gras.
Pro Tip: Use a heated knife (run it under hot water to warm the blade) for smooth, clean cuts.
Foie Gras (Flash-Frozen)
Grade A – Smooth in texture, firm, rich in flavor with a slightly nutty finish.
$43/lb. (1.75 to 2lb. pack size)
Grade B – Smaller than A grade. Softer texture, more prominent veins. Ideal for terrines and mousse.
$38/lb. (1.5 to 1.75lb. pack size)
Foie Gras Torchon
Foie gras is marinated in Sauternes wine, salt, brown sugar and white pepper and rolled into the traditional cylindrical shape. Fully cooked, ready to eat. Serve chilled with crusty bread and fruit compote or jam.
$62/lb. (1lb log)
